Water Therapy and it’s benefits to Health…..
Water is nature’s purest gift to all life. There are several reasons to drink lots of water each day. Ample water intake helps to prevent dehydration, cleans out the body from harmful toxins, and facilitates healing processes.
Water is essential for maintaining and controlling weight. Using water instead of carbonated beverages (high in calories) can also help control weight. Drinking water along with meals (before and after) will help you avoid overeating and obesity. Eating slowly and drinking water along with your meals will help you get satisfied with less amount of food.
The amount of water a person needs is variable depending on the person’s weight, activity level and climate conditions. Another way to determine your exact recommended water intake is to divide your weight by two (if measuring in pounds). The resulting number is the number of ounces of water you need each day. E.g., if you weigh 100 lbs, do try to drink 75 ounces of water daily. If you measure your weight in kilograms, divide that number by 30 to determine your quota of water. E.g., if you weigh 70 KG, do try to drink 2.3 liters a day.
Keep a glass, mug or small bottle of water next to you while you’re working or studying. Drink from it regularly and make sure you get a refill every hour. Add ice or freeze water in a bottle before taking it with you to work, which will eventually melt and stay cold. Cold water takes energy from your body to regulate the temperature, which helps to burn off some calories.
If plain water bores you, then add a little flavor by using lemons or limes. This makes it taste better and makes you want to drink more of it. Cucumber slices and mint leaves can also be added to a glass or a pitcher of water.
If you are looking to lose weight, it would be smart to add more fresh produce to your meals, such as fresh fruit in breakfast, veggie sticks for snacks, salads with dinner and fruit for dessert. Drinking water is important if you’re trying to lose weight as some studies have shown if there is a slight dehydration, the thirst mechanism may be mistaken for hunger and one may eat when the body is actually craving fluids. Drinking more water instead of food can help to prevent overeating and benefit weight loss.
Also eat water rich foods such as fruits like watermelon, which is 92% water by weight. Cranberry juice is also another option, despite its bitter taste. Patients diagnosed with urinary infections due to insufficient water intake should drink cranberry juice and eat watermelon (if not plain water) daily. Also, a tomato is 95% water and a recommended flavor in salads. Instead of snacks, try munching on peaches, melons, or citrus fruits.

This is very stimulating work you have written for us. Some people need to be guided that these things can happen to anyone. You have shown me a better outlook now.
